Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè (/ˈtahi/ /sɪˈdɘfɪ/ [available] [width]) is a subtropical Town located in the Qíithtathê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè was founded by Hyandotame Trgado, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 21°C (69°F). Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè receives an average of 199 cm/y (78 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Overview

Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 12th century in fall of the year 1065, by Hyandotame Trgado. The establishment of Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè's construction back out of the project. Hyandotame Trgado pushed on reguardles, and Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arround a network of crampt flagstone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè's cost-cutting-focused defences has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Even with that as it is, everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or much of both. The town should be gone, not dying. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable.

Civic Infrastructure

Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè's parks.

Cultural Notes

Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè has a long tradition of martial expertise. This may be a crisply-organized history of skilled native levies, or it may be a natural belligerence in the people that leaves them familiar with bloodshed. While their neighbors and liege doubtless respect their talents, this very aptitude might make them more willing to turn to steel than prudence would advise.

Tahi-sîdêfî Dêtîkè's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.
